Rudolph Cauchi wins the 'Premju Gieh Ghajnselmiz'

The ninth edition of the 'Premju Gieh Ghajnsilmiz was held this evening in a special ceremony organized by the Ghajnsielem Local council. This year's award was giving to Rudolph Cauchi, leader of the the l-Ghaqda tal-Armar group. He was awarded for his sheer enthusiasm and whole-hearted dedication in making Ghajnsielem visually attractive with his works in the village pjazza during Christmas and also during the village feast.

Nowadays it is hard to find a person, mostly a youngster who is interested in his surrounding social life. But this cannot be said to Rudolph who is also an inspiration to his surrounding.

Beside being the leader and founder of L-Ghaqda tal-Armar group, he is also involved in other local groups, such as stage work and a member in the Twinning Committee.  Another work that he does and we assume that is the most work that he is willing to do, is as a secretary in the feast's committee.

The St Joseph band (in which Rudolph was also a member) performed a set of marches from their new CD which was launched during the same evening.  Copies of the new cd’s were presented to each local group representative.  The CD will be for sale from the band’s premises. A delegation from Tolfa was also present for this event.
