School Library re-opened

The Branch Library in Anton Cassar Primary School was re-opened last Wednesday December 10th and given the name of “Librerija Patri Bonaventura Scicluna”.

Born in Ghajnsielem in 1891, Patri Bonaventura Scicluna was a Franciscan Priest who taught Theology, Church History and Philosophy.

Thanks to the Ghajnsielem Local Council this library has been given a new look, which consists of a new main door directly to the street, new shelving, a new desk and a computer. The Council has also donated a considerable number of books.

Among those present was the Director of Local Councils Department Mr. Natalino Attard. Director of National Library Philip Borg, Mayor of Tolfa Sig. Alessandro Battilochio accompanied by two Councilors Sig. Egidio Verdirosi and Sig. Valerio Finori and the Head Mistress of Anton Cassar Primary School Mrs. Josephine Bonnett.

The Library was inaugurated by Major Francis Cauchi and blessed by Arch. Joseph Zerafa.
