Annual Christmas Concert at the Ghajnsielem primary

Friday, 19th September 2003

On the last school day all the children attending our primary school participated in the annual Christmas Concert in the newly refurnished school assembly hall. It was a day to remember...

Not mentioning the 250 children and staff members, there were around another 100 parents who flocked very early to our school. It was a really joyful day for all the students and their teachers and facilitators as well as for all their parents who helped day in day out in the rehearsals and practices both at home and school.

Our school's philosophy, inspired by our School Development Plan (2002-2004) pinpoints that all children should be given the opportunity to take part on stage in several scholastic occasions throughout the year. In fact, each class had an individual activity ranging from Christmas carol singing, drama, dancing as well as role-plays. Besides, another number of students opted to play several classical Christmas tunes on the piano too.

Looking back at this year's edition, one can easily see a lot of improvement in the organization itself of the activity, the well-planned remote preparation on stage and in classes as well as an ever increasing expectancy level expected from teachers and parents alike.

After the concert, all our beloved children were awarded with a class party and an individual present from their respective teachers to celebrate the end of the first term in style. Later a number of educational and fun activities were held in each class and in the school playgrounds as well.

Finally I seize this opportunity to give a really Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2004 to all our community on behalf of the Anton Cassar Primary School.
