Two Ghajnsilmizi Awarded for Best Song

Deborah Cassar and Daphne Xuereb, both from Ghajnsielem, won the 18th edition of the Nadur Song Festival. The event was held at the Mnarja Band Club's premises. The festival was divided in four categories with 33 participants.

Deborah Cassar placed first in the senior teenagers section and was also voted as the best overall participant of the festival with 93 points (awarded by the judges and the public). Eight-year-old Daphne Xuereb won the junior's category. The Nadur Local Council sponsored the trophies that were presented to the winners.
