Friday: Weekend of celebrations kicks off
(27th August 2004)

The weekend celebrations kicked off today with the famous "March tal-Balzunetta". St Joseph Band, Banda G. Verdi of Tolfa and Xewkija's 'Prekursur' played marches in Mgarr Road, accompanied by the statue of Our Lady of Home. The march ended in the main square where the statue was put up on a pedestal set. A fireworks display started at midnight.

In the meantime, Qala's 'Ite ad Joseph' performed a musical program in the main square.
