'Premju Gieh Ghajnsilmiz' for Leli l-Bufajra

The tenth edition of the 'Premju Gieh Ghajnsilmiz' was held this evening in a special ceremony organized by the Ghajnsielem Local Council. This year's award was giving to Emmanuel Saliba, better known here in Ghajnsielem as 'Leli l-Bufajra'.

Leli is mostly renowned for the completion of the belfry construction work at the Ghajnsielem Parish church and for other belfry restoration works around Gozo.. He also worked on several monuments such as the Anglu Grech Monument at Apparition Square, War Monument at Chambray Street and the one in 'Pjazzetta 10 ta’ Dicembru'.
