Promising Future for Ghajnsielem Artist

On the occasion of Malta’s accession to the European Union and the European Parliament Elections, a “Collective Gozitan Art Exhibition”, featuring the work of 31 artists, was held at Victoria Local Council Hall at the Banca Giuratale in Independence Square, Victoria, throughout the months of May and June.

The highlight of the Exhibition was the visit of Mr. Pat Cox, who was presented with a painting, by the young Ghajnsielem artist Vince Caruana, whose creation “Gaia’s Domain” was chosen from among the exhibits. Vince Caruana, one of the most promising young talents from Gozo, already has two major personal exhibitions under his belt and is, at present, preparing for a third exhibition of his work in Autumn. Presently, he is teaching various artistic mediums at the Gozo Centre for Art and Crafts. Mr. Cox, President of the European Parliament, appreciated this gift wholeheartedly and had words of praise for both the artist and his creation.
