The play is called "Saltnatu" written by JoAnne
Debrincat. It starts with the meeting between a boy, called Barabbas and 13 year old Jesus at the foot of a cross upon
which the former's father was crucified. Jesus offers to help
Barabbas but the boy refuses. Twenty years later the two meet
again, this time at the preatorium, where both are facing
trial and condemnation at the hands of the Roman governor
Pontius Pilate.
This was L-Ghaqda Drammatika
Ghajnsielem's 17th production. Apart from the Easter pageant,
L-Ghaqda Drammatika Ghajnsielem organizes the Our Lady of
Sorrows Procession, the re-enactment of Jesus’ entry into
Jerusalem on Palm Sunday and the representation of the Last
Supper.
