Franciscan Youth Fest 2004
(6th
September 2004)

The Gifra (Gioventu Francescana – Franciscan Youth) of Ghajnsielem Gozo will be holding a festival on Saturday, the 11th of September at 7.30 PM.

For the second year in a row, the Gifra of Gozo is organising a festival that aims to show its audience the wide range of talents the Gifra members have. The group is comprised of about 50 members who are all committed to making this year’s festival as successful as or better than last year’s.

The items that will be performed can be divided into four categories: dancing, singing, drama, and a mime. The collection of dances that will be performed is diverse, ranging from ballet to synchronised group performances. The songs that will be sung are diverse too, ranging from rock to pop. The plays are very amusing and are sure to leave every audience member with a smile. In addition, for the first time, a mime will be performed by some Gifra members.

The members of the Gifra have been preparing a long time for this event. Throughout this summer, they have been meeting every week to discuss every detail of the festival and improvements that can be made. Everyday, rehearsals are held for different items. The members work hard and make many sacrifices so that in the end, all their work will not have been in vain and will bring the group closer together.

The Franciscan Youth Fest 2004 is intended for everyone’s appreciation. This will be held, next to St. Anthony’s Church, St. Anthony’s Str, in Ghajnsielem. After last year’s success, this year’s festival is guaranteed to be most entertaining. Click here for more information.
