Ghajnsielem is today celebrating the Feast of Our Lady of Loreto. This morning Gozo Bishop Mario Grech led a pontifical concelebrated Mass. A reception was held shortly afterwards at the St Joseph Band Club's premises.

The traditional horse and donkey races was held in Mgarr Road at 1.30 p.m.

At 5.30pm, the Victory Band played marches from Hamri Street where it later joined the St Joseph Band at the Apparition Square. Both marched together to the Main Square. The procession with the statue of Our Lady of Loreto started at 7.30 and went around the main streets of Ghajnsielem while the Leone Band Club entertained the crowds in the main square. The procession ended at 10.15pm with a spectacular firework display followed by the Eucharistic celebration. The feast ended with the traditional 'Marc tal-Hdax'
