Over 200 people crowded the main hall of the Grand Hotel for a Gala Dinner Dance and 80's Night organized by the St Joseph Band Club. The executive committee decided to change the format of the traditional annual dinner for the bandsman and invite all the Ghajnsilmizi to join this event and turn it into a fund-raising activity.

A well-known local DeeJay and a folklore band from Ghajnsielem entertained the crowd. Club President Gino Cauchi made a short speech  and emphasized on the importance of helping all the voluntary organizations such as the St Joseph Band Club and appreciate the dedication and hard work that the bandsmen give. Many guests also won spot prizes donated by the main sponsors of the event.

Meanwhile, a few days before, Ghajnsielem F.C. organized its annual Christmas Reception for its players and supporters. During this event, the Club Committee presented a commemorative gift to Peter Caruana who is by far the most successful coach in the Club history, with an impressive record of 410 points, 222 wins and 5 consecutive championships.

Ghajnsielem F.C. also unveiled that the 2006 Football Annual - an impressive publication of over 260 pages dedicated to the glorious history of the club.
