Ghajnsielem Week: Day 3
Get-Together between the main Organizations

(Monday, 4th December
2006)

For the first time ever, all the main organizations of the village met together for an evening to learn about each other's problems, discuss how to cooperate together and how to help each other in certain activities and events.

The get-together event started at 6.30pm at the Ghajnsielem Local Council's new office in the Apparation Square. Representatives included members from the St Joseph Band Club, Ghajnsielem Football Club, the Franciscans Community, the Parish Church and Ghaqda Armar.

Mayor Francis Cauchi unveiled an exiting project for the 2007's Christmas Season which will definitely make Ghajnsielem a main attraction for both the Maltese and foreigners. There is also a good possibility that the central government will vote funds in order to guarantee that this projects takes place.

The Mayor also invited Ghajnsielem's new Archpriest Can. Frankie Bajada to start working together on another exciting project - this time in the form of a Local Community Radio. Archpriest Bajada revealed that he was part of the team that started Radio RTK back in the 1990's and he pledged his full support in order to make sure that this project becomes a reality.

During this evening, the local councillors and the club's representatives also visited the Franciscan Community, the St Joseph Band Club premises and the Ghajnsielem Football Club.

This get-together event is part of the activities of the 'Ghajnsielem Week'. Click Here to see the full Programme of Activities
