The
response for the
Ghajnsielem Blood Drive was so
positive that it had to be extended to accommodate all
donors who were constantly flowing into the St Joseph
Band Club. The club was literally transformed into a
blood donation center and in just a few hours, over 50
volunteer donors took part in this activity. The event started at
8.30am and finally ended at 4.00pm.
This activity was held
in order to
commemorate the 80th
Anniversary of the St Joseph Band Club. It was
held in collaboration
with the Malta Red Cross Gozo and the Malta National
Blood Transfusion.
The Band
Club committee is pleased with the response and for the
fact that the people of Ghajnsielem positively responded
to this initiative
and is already planning a similar
event. In fact it was later announced that another Blood
Drive campaign will be organized during the so called
'Ghajnsielem Week' next December. More details will be
announced in the due course.
