The Ghajnsielem Local
Council together with the main organizations this
evening laid out the plan and discussed several
proposals about an exiting project which is being
planned for this Christmas... 'Ghajnsielem in
Bethlehem'.
The whole 'Ta Passi' area
will literally be transformed into a 'live crib' and will
offer a naturalistic reproduction of the environ of
Bethlehem. The works will be managed and overseen by
Franco Ciangura. The organizations present for the first
meeting were the St Joseph Band Club, Ghajnsielem F.C.,
the Franciscan youths community and Ghaqda Drammatika
Ghajnsielem.
A large tent will also be
erected in the parking area adjacent the St Joseph Band
Club premises. The tent will host several cultural
activities during the evenings while the participating
organizations will have their own stand selling
traditional Christmas food and products. The Ghajnsielem
Primary school is also expected to take a leading part
in the activities. The aim is to open the live crib on
the 10th of December and spread the activities on 3
weeks.
All those who wish to
volunteer in this exciting project are invited to attend
a meeting next Monday 6th October 7.00pm at the
St Joseph Band Club Hall.
'Bethlehem in Ghajnsielem'
promises to be one of the main attractions in Malta and
Gozo this Christmas.
