The St Joseph Band Club
hosted the second meeting for the 'Bethlehem in
Ghajnsielem' project and was well attended by several
volunteers. Mayor Francis Cauchi steered the meeting
explaining that this projected will be co-financed by
the central government and all profits will go to the
main local organisations. The whole 'Ta Passi' area
will literally be transformed into a 'live crib' and will
offer a naturalistic reproduction of the environ of
Bethlehem.

the Franciscan youths, Ghaqda Drammatika
Ghajnsielem, GSM Youths and Ghaqda Armar were all
present for the meeting while several others are
expected to join forces during the upcoming days. Leli
Saliba will be in charge for the construction of the
main grotto while each organizations will be responsible
for a particular area.
Work is expected to start immediately. On
Tuesday and Wednesday
several rubble walls will be rebuilt. Another meeting
will then be held on Thursday while the actual works on
the "crib" are expected to start on Saturday when a
number of volunteers directed by Franco Ciangura will
clean 'Ta Passi' area. Several floodlights will be
installed around the fields so that work can continue
till late. Several children from Ghajnsielem Primary
School are also expected to give a helping hand during
the upcoming weeks.
All volunteers are invited to
give a helping hand on at 'Ta Passi' fields on Saturday
from 10.00am onwards.
