The festa schedule is over. Broadcasting started on Sunday August the 3rd and stopped on Tuesday 2nd September. These 31 days proved to be a great success. All producers and presenters tried to do their best in providing quality programs, programs aimed to entertain and educate.

The schedule included live transmissions of the festa of Our Lady of Loreto. Once again these live transmissions were a huge success especially for those who couldn’t be present for the festivities, including the sick, the elderly and our dear emigrants. The overwhelming support received was a proof that Radju Lauretana is here to stay. Some highlights during this month transmission were the Open Day on 5th August, the first birthday of Radju Lauretana, Morena’s visit and live interview on Wednesday 27th August and the visit by his Excellency the President of Malta Dr. Edward Fenech Adami on Tuesday 26th August. The Head of the Maltese State had a word of praise for all the voluntary staff and the work carried out at our radio station. On Sunday 31st August, our fete day, both His Excellency the Bishop of Gozo Monsignor Mario Grech and the Minister for Gozo Giovanna Debono visited our studios together with Ghajnsielem Major Frans Cauchi. All three were interviewed.

Transmitting for a whole month was not an easy job. However this was made possible with the help of all. The people of Ghajnsielem once again gave their full support both financially and in prayer. Thanks to all those who showed their support by phoning in, sending an SMS or an E Mail. Radju Lauretana is once again silent, silent until December when the Christmas Schedule starts. May Our Lady of Loreto and her son Jesus bless all volunteers and listeners.
