The Imperial Gozo Yacht Club is organising the 1st edition of the Mgarr photo exhibition. The event will showcase photos of any subject related to Mgarr harbour, in general or particular aspects.

Amateur and professional photographers are invited to submit photographs which they took (up to 4 each person). The submitted photos will participate in a competition whereby the winner will be given a prize of EUR100 cash and the winning photo will be used, with attribution on the IGYC's annual membership cards. The photos will also be exhibited at the Club's premises in Mgarr on May 1-3 2009.

Photographs - preferably in size 11" x 14" - should be submitted (with the name and telephone number of the person written on the back) no later than April 20th 2009, by contacting Anthony Xuereb on 99430528 or Frank Farrugia on 79733974, or by mail to the Club's address.

The Imperial Gozo Yacht Club was formed on August 1st 2006. Its purpose is to provide an organization based in Gozo for persons with interest in the sports of yachting, both sailing and power, and within sailing both cruising and racing.

The Club has grown rapidly, and is active in organizing both on the water sailing activities and also educational and social events for its members.
