All
good things come to an end... and this was indeed the
case at 'Ta Passi' fields as the Nativity Village or
'Bethlehem f' Ghajnsielem' finally comes to an end as
the world is celebrating the Epiphany
But
after four weekends of animation and three months of
hard work by dozens of volunteers,
the intensive work involved in organising all is a
burden too light to bear when one is rewarded with a
deep feeling of satisfaction and pride especially when
seeing the thousands of Maltese and Gozitans which
visited 'Ta Passi'.
In fact it
is calculated that approximately 55,000 visited the
Nativity Village between the 6th of December and 4th of
January. Visitors included the Prime Minister Dr
Lawrence Gonzi, Parliament Speaker Louis Galea, Gozo
Bishop Mgr Mario Grech, Leader of the Opposition
Dr Joseph Muscat, several members of parliament,
dignitaries, journalists and hundreds of tourists who
happened to be in Gozo for Christmas.
One thing is sure... language can never describe the
unique atmosphere that 'Bethlehem f' Ghajnsielem'
offered. One had to experience it.
The masses that braved the sometimes frosty weather and
joined in the festivities can prove this.
Ghajnsielem.com is bringing you the last set of photos
from 'Ta Passi' plus a short video clip to end this
fantastic attraction which made Ghajnsielem on
everyone's lips. Radju Lauretana has also
interviewed some of the actors (see photos below). You
