Bethlehem f' Ghajnsielem open on Sunday
(Sunday, 29th November 2009)

The official poster poster has been recently launched with over 500 copies being distributed to schools, band clubs and local council offices around Malta and Gozo. The promotional campaign was also in full swing with several TV stations including a feature about the event on their news bulleting. Several newspaper including Il-Mument, The Sunday Times and Malta Independent are expected to publish an article on thier newspaper next weekend. A new website has also been launched.

Major attractions for this year include an enlarged bakery with functional oven, new structures at market area and the Inn where visitors can go on the roof terrace to enjoy the panoramic views of Ghajnsielem and Ta' Passi fields. Fresh water spring completed with a mill will be flowing around these structures through a small river to enhance the atmosphere. Over 10,000 litres of water will be used to create this impressive effect. You can also enter inside the carpenter's house and watch the father at work with his wife cooking and children playing around (...or sleeping).

Each house is animated a family, played by actors, to remind us that the story of Christmas revolves around a family. Over 150 actors and 25 ushers are needed for the animation to run smoothly.

Recently, Hon. Giovanna Debono, Minister for Gozo together with the Hon. Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Public Dialogue visited the volunteers at 'Ta Passi' fields. The nativity village will be inaugurated by the Prime Minister Dr Lawrence Gonzi on Sunday 6th December at 5.00pm. and will remain open until the 3rd of January 2010.
