The
official poster poster has been recently launched with over
500 copies being distributed to schools, band clubs and
local council offices around Malta and Gozo. The promotional
campaign was also in full swing with several TV stations
including a feature about the event on their news bulleting.
Several newspaper including Il-Mument, The Sunday Times and
Malta Independent are expected to publish an article on
thier newspaper next weekend. A new website has also been
launched.
Major attractions for this year include an
enlarged bakery with functional oven, new structures at market area
and the Inn
where visitors can go on the
roof terrace to enjoy the panoramic views of Ghajnsielem and
Ta' Passi fields. Fresh water spring completed with a mill
will be flowing around these structures through a small
river to enhance the atmosphere.
Over 10,000 litres of water will be used to create this
impressive effect. You
can also enter inside the carpenter's house and watch the
father at work with his wife cooking and children playing
around (...or sleeping).
Each house is animated a family, played by actors, to remind
us that the story of Christmas revolves around a family.
Over 150 actors and 25 ushers are needed for the animation
to run smoothly.
Recently, Hon. Giovanna Debono, Minister for Gozo together
with the Hon. Chris Said, Parliamentary Secretary for Public
Dialogue visited the volunteers at 'Ta Passi' fields.
The nativity village will be
inaugurated by the Prime Minister Dr Lawrence Gonzi on
Sunday 6th December at 5.00pm. and will remain open until
the 3rd of January 2010.
