Bethlehem f'
Ghajnsielem: One
month to go! (Sunday, 8th November
2009)
On Sunday, 'Ta Passi' was again bustling
with activity but this time, the volunteers took some time
off to relax with their family in the tranquil surroundings.
Pizza and sweets were served.
All wooden structures including the carpenter's and
blacksmith's houses, the enlarged bakery, a new market and
crafts area and the tavern. Attention will now turn to the
main grotto and the finishing touches. 'Bethlehem f'
Ghajnsielem' will also have a water-wheel with fresh-water
flowing out from a spring. Over 10,000 litres of water will
be used to create this impressive effect. Recently, over
150m of material for the new costumes was bought to enhance
the actors who will animated the nativity village.
As
part of the promotional campaign, the organizers also
presented t-shirts to all volunteers. These t-shirt were
sponsored by Arkadia feature the 'Bethlehem f' Ghajnsielem'
logo together with the emblem of the Ghajnsielem Local
Council who is the main sponsor of the event.
The
official poster, website and other promotional material will be launched
within the next few days. The nativity village will be
inaugurated by the Prime Minister Dr Lawrence Gonzi on
Sunday 6th December at 5.00pm.
