Discussions are currently taking place between the Ghajnsielem Local Council, Bethlehem f' Ghajnsielem Foundation and Bethlehem Town Council for the possibility of starting an official relationship or even a twinning agreement between Ghajnsielem and the Middle East town of Bethlehem.

Recently, Dr Joe Mifsud expert in the field of Middle East issues and author of the book  "Bethlehem: Fil-qtiegh il-qalb it-tama" was in Bethlehem to discuss was possibilities exist to start such links. Dr. Mifsud has a residence in Ghajnsielem and takes active interest in the nativity village project.

A teleconference was recently held between Ghajnsielem Mayor Francis Cauchi and Mayor Bethlehem Victor Baterseh and the nativity village which was held at 'Ta Passi' fields last December was high on the agenda, with several new ideas already in the pipeline for this year's event.
