In an atmosphere of prayer, joy and peace, the Ghajnsielem Parish organized the fifth edition of the Marian vigil of prayers in the main square. The event was led by Deacons Samuel Grech, John Meilak and Stephen Magro ofm. The Virgo Choir animated the event.

The vigil night was the brainchild of Mons Joseph Zerafa who managed to bring a religious element in the external activities. It immediately proved to be a success and this can be proved by the strong attendance. It is worth noting that during the last few years, Wednesday was hardly included in the external feast activities as no particular event used to be organized. A traditional dinner used to be held in the main square but this tradition died out over 6 years ago.
