As the world is
celebrating the Epiphany, the 2nd edition of 'Bethlehem f'
Ghajnsielem' closed in a memorable as the 'Three Kings'
travelled from Mgarr Harbour to 'Ta Passi' fields on horses
amid the applause of the crowd.
The 'Three
Kings' arrived in Mgarr harbour from the east side on a
traditional Maltese boat (luzzu) and travelled slowly toward
the Nativity village on horses via Mgarr Road and the main
square. It was a truly unique atmosphere that brought tears
to many Ghajnselmizi knowing that it was the last day of
animation.
Indeed, the
visit of the three wise men at the grotto to present gifts
to baby Jesus marked the end of four weekends of animation
and months of hard work. But the thousands of visitors
including hundreds of tourists and several dignitaries were
enough to bring a deep feeling of satisfaction and pride
among the organizers.
