Several organizations and local artists together with
Ghajnsielem Local Council took an active part in
this year's edition of Notte Gozitana, Lejliet Lapsi which
took place from the 14th to 16th of May. Ghajnsielem.com

'Bethlehem f'
Ghajnsielem' in Savina Square
The
'Bethlehem f' Ghajnsielem' Foundation gave a hint of what
this year's edition of the nativity village will offer by building a lifesize bakery
from the period of Jesus. The bakery measuring over 20ft x
20ft was built in Savina Square and offered traditional local food
including maltese bread, ftira, qassati, Gozo cheese etc.
The bakery also included a multimedia section to showcase what 'Bethlehem f'
Ghajnsielem' is all about. Several local actors animated
the attraction. Watch a

Art Exhibition by Vince
Caruana
'Seven
Days' took visitors into an amazing visual journey of Vince Caruana's
vibrant palette and creative mastery by offering a narrative
of styles stretching from representational to abstract and
extending to bronze relief designs. During the exhibition,
one also had the opportunity to see the eight designs which
have been cast in bronze reliefs for the Għajnsielem
Parish's Bell project. The
exhibition took place at Maji Wine & Dine Art Gallery and
was officially inaugurated on Thursday by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono.
It will remain open until end of May.

Titular Painting in Gozo
Ministry Exhibition
The
titular painting of Our Lady of Loreto, work of Michael Busutill
dating back over 190 years was on display at the Exhibition
Hall of the Ministry for Gozo during an
exhibition of more than one hundred and fifty paintings,
drawings and engravings by various artists from three
generations of the Busuttil family, entitled ‘The Busuttil
Artists – A legacy of three generations,’

Local talent exhibition in Republic Street
Several
local artists showcased their skills and talents in
Victoria's main artery in a stand organized by the
Ghajnsielem Local Council. The stand included fishing net
mending and lace making while Mons. Joseph Zerafa displayed
two of his church models. The St Joseph Band Club together with the
Franciscan community sold food and beverages in aid of
their respective causes.
