After a break of five years, the 20th edition of the passion play presented by the Għaqda Drammatika Għajnsielem was full of praise by all those present especially thanks to the dramatic storyline and the open air stage.

In fact, 'The Son of Man' (Bin il-Bniedem) was held in Independence Square on the old parish church's front parvis thus offering the imposing church as a backdrop. This together with the sound effects created by the enclosed square offered a unique experience for all those present.

The cast was made up of around 40 actors. Stage design is by Franco Ciangura with various people being involved backstage. The direction of this play was once again in the hands of JoAnne Debrincat.
