The Ghajnsielem Local Council is
preparing on a Sustainable Locality
Action Plan for Ghajnsielem. A
Public Event to get the views of the
local community, in the form of an
interactive exhibition and
workshops, will be held in Ghajnsielem
Band Club on Thursday 15th September
2011, between 7:00pm and 10:00pm.
The Action
Plan will define a vision for
Ghajnsielem in 10 years time (2020),
as well as a set of short-term
actions to help achieve that
vision. Actions
will be focussed on 3 specific
areas:

Sustainable
transportation (mobility
and accessibility) |
|
Sustainable local
economy, looking
specifically at the
agriculture sector and
the potential for
promoting the local
artisan and crafts
sector |
|
Sustainable energy
consumption |
The Public Event will be an
opportunity for the local community
to tell the Council what they
like and dislike about Ghajnsielem,
to describe what works and what
doesn’t work in Ghajnsielem, to make
suggestions for improvement, and to
describe how those improvements
should be carried out. If you want
to have your say, and to hear what
others have to say, come along to
the Band Club on 15th September.
