The liturgical feast of Saint Francis of Assisi is celebrated annually on the 4th of October. However, the Franciscan community of Ghajnsielem will be celebrating this event two weeks later with 5 days of activities aimed to all ages.

Beside the internal celebrations, a Pasta Night will be held on the 14th of October while on Saturday several activities aimed for the young ones and in collaboration with E.R.R.C. will be held in the parking area of the convent. A film showing the lift of  St. Francis of Assisi will be shown in the evening.

On Sunday 16th October several games will be organized by Buzzy Kids Entertainment at 9.00am in the parking area of the convent while during the same time a parade by Mosta's scout group will depart from the Ghajnsielem Local Council's premises to St Anthony's church. The highlight of the celebrations will be the blessing of the animals at 10.00am This custom is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures.

The events are held in collaboration with the Ghajnsielem Local Council.
