Palm Sunday morning heralds the Holy Week. To commemorate Christ's triumphal entry into Jerusalem, palm and olive branches were blessed on the parvis of the Old Parish Church followed by a peagent procession to the parish church with the parishioners holding the aforementioned branches leading this procession. In the parish church, a solemn mass was then held, with the celebrant wearing red and with the reading of the Passion of Jesus Christ.
