First Holy
Communion for 21 children
(Sunday, 20th May 2012)
It was a special day for 11 girls and
10 boys as today they received their First Holy
Communion. They left the Old Parish church at 4.45pm
and walked to the Ghajnsielem parish together. A
mass was then concelebrated by Archpriest Can
Frankie Bajada. The children participated and sang
all the hymns leading to the most special moment as
each child received the Holy Communion for the first
time.
First Communion is an important event in a Catholic
child's life, in which they are fully participating
in the Mass and, for the first time, receiving the
Bread of Life and the Cup of Salvation.
