Renovation of the 'Pedestall il-Kbir'

The "Pedestal il-Kbir" is usually placed in the pjazza for the Friday evening march from Mgarr Road (balzunetta). The statue "Il-Madonna tad-Dar" is then placed on it for the rest of the festa.

Works on this pedestal are being carried out by l-Ghaqda tal-Gharmar".

You can see from the photo below (left), how it was before and you can get a good idea how it will look when finished. 

The statue (two photos below) is of "Xmun, il-qassis il-kbir", one of the six statues which will be situated in the big square in front of our Parish Church. Two of these six statues are ready which are the statues of Moses and Isaiah, while three other more statues of David, Jeremiahand Mikea are still to be ordered (for the sum of Lm800 each).
