Twinning
Agreement with Tolfa

As
reported in today's edition of Sunday Times, the Ghajnsielem
local council is currently negotiating a twinning agreement with
Tolfa, a small town outside Rome which has 5,000 inhabitants.
The association of Local Councils
recently informed Ghajnsielem council that the Italian town
was interested in signing the agreement. Tolfa contacted the
Associazzione Italiana per il Consiglio Dei Comuni e Delle
Regioni d' Europe (AICCRE) with its proposal.
Tolfa
mayor Alessandro Battilocchio has expressed his eagerness to
Ghajnsielem mayor for the two localities to be twinned.
Ghajnsielem council secretary Dolindo Cassar is currently
engaged in talks with representatives of Tolfa council on the
agreement.
Ghajnsielem
council recently had talks with a Portuguese town with the aim
of signing a twinning agreement but nothing was
concluded.
