The Ghajnsielem Local Council is the
main sponsor of the Bethlehem
f'Ghajnsielem event. Since 2008, the Local
Council enthusiastically backed the
local NGOs and several volunteers to
turn an abandon piece of land known as
'Ta Passi' fields into one of the
biggest attractions in Gozo. The local
council funds all the structures,
marketing and other related expenses.

The mission of the Ministry for Gozo led
by Hon. Giovanna Debono is
to improve the quality of life in Gozo
while protecting and improving the
cultural, social and environmental
characteristics of the island. Through
its various departments including the
Culture department and the Public Works
department, the Ministry for Gozo is
assisting in turning the Bethlehem
f'Ghajnsielem event into a major tourist
destination for Gozo.

The Parliamentary Secretary responsible
for Consumers, Fair Competition, Local
Councils and Public Dialogue led by Dr.
Chris Said within the Office of the
Prime Minister has within his portfolio:

Eco-Gozo is a concept which summarises
Government’s vision for the future of
this island. It is a vision which aims
at transforming Gozo and Gozitan society
into a sustainable reality in its wider
sense – not only environmentally, but

Ghajnsielem.com was launched in July
2002 and aims to keep the emigrants and
local citizens up-to-date with what's
happening in our village. It offers a
comprehensive list of informative
articles featuring everything you need
to know about the village of
Ghajnsielem. The website is run on a
non-profit basis by a team of volunteers
who have Ghajnsielem in their heart.

The Hands On Farming Programme is a
collaborative programme between the
Education Division and the
Department of Agriculture. This
programme is intended to familiarise
students with our local environment and
with the Maltese farming industry.
Students attend the center for a half
day visit, during which they are given
information on the work carried out on
the farm. Hands On Farming is assisting
the event during the visit of school
children.

The Gozo Culture Office within the
Ministry for Gozo is the policy
coordinator of the island's main
cultural events programme being
organised by a specific unit based in
the same office. This office is
assisting the Bethlehem f'Ghajnsielem
event by providing logistical support
and organizes a number of cultural
activities during the animation of the
nativity village.
