Born in 1927, Josephine (Giuseppa) Xuereb is simply
known in Ghajnsielem as the "Superjura" as she has been
Superior of the Society of Christian Doctrine (MUSEUM)
Female Section of the Ghajnsielem branch for 30 years.
Since a very
young age, Giuseppa was a simple young lady who was
eager to learn. She was inspired by her grandmother,
Regina Debono, who was a catechism teacher. In fact she
joined the
Female Section of Christian Doctrine in the year 1945.
Although she was only 18 years old,
at such a
young age she was already dedicated to the word of God.
She
simply lived her vocation with love and dedication.
Despite facing several difficulties she managed to keep
the Ghajnsielem branch open for 55 years even though
there were instances when she was alone. |
