The jewel in the
crown of Ghajnsielem Football Club is its club
premises. Construction of the new club premises
commenced in the early nineties. The Club
finally moved to the new premises in August
1994. Many personalities from Gozo, Malta and
abroad have toured the premises and were left
amazed by the sheer size, architectural beauty,
facilities and location of the place.

The Club
consists of a main entrance which leads
to the left to the bar and restaurant
area, and then into the outdoor terrace.
A right turn on the entrance leads you
immediately to the glass window
showcasing the Frans Magro Trophy Room.
The impressive trophy display erases any
doubt that the visitor may have that he
is entering into a Club that is anything
short of great. Next to the trophy room
is the committee room. Past the washroom
facilities, one then goes downstairs
past the laundry room, shower rooms and
on to the first team dressing room. A
stairs also leads to the roof terrace.
Next to the
dressing room is the Bernard Hersey's
Gym, a state-of-the-art, fully equipped
gym (see
separate website) which is also open
to the public. |

The Club’s training grounds are located adjacent
to the Club (on the south side). This means that
the Club patrons can follow closely the Club’s
various teams during their training sessions.
The GFA organizes youth categories’ league and
cup play in the Ghajnsielem ground every year.
It is one of the Club’s long-term ambitions to
extend the ground to official size and to
replace the sand and gravel surface with turf.
Parking at the club and ground is not a problem
as there are ample parking spots available on
the north side. Come and see for yourself why so
many people have been so impressed by our Club
premises.

Directions Map
The club premises and training grounds of
Ghajnsielem F.C. are exceptionally well-placed
for fast access from the main artery of Gozo,
Mgarr Road. We are merely a five minute drive
from Mgarr Harbour. If you are traveling from
Malta, take the Gozo Channel Ferry from Cirkewwa
(approximately 25 minute ferry ride). From Mgarr
Harbour then drive up Shore Street to Mgarr
Road. Stay on Mgarr Road as St. Anthony Street
branches off from it to the right—unless you are
staying at the Grand Hotel, in which case you
simply have to double back after you have
checked in, to this same point, and then turn
right on the first major intersection past
Tartufo Restaurant, the Ghajnsielem Primary
School, and the Post Office and then you come in
view of the club and grounds. If you are
traveling from the North (such as Victoria),
cross into the limits of Ghajnsielem by going
past the Heliport round-about near the Heritage
complex. Drive down until Garden Street branches
off Mgarr Road. Stay on Mgarr Road, go past
First and Last Bar, past the Cassar Service
Station, past Manchester Bar, past the Gozo
Press and turn left upon view of Rexy’s Bar and
Restaurant, then proceed as described above.
