Football in Gozo resumed in the 1952/53
season. Għajnsielem did not participate
in league football. They did, however,
take part in the cup competitions
organized by the G.F.A. Għajnsielem
played in three cup finals. They lost
the Galea Cup to Xewkija Tigers and the
Coronation Cup to Salesian Youths. The
Liberty Cup final finished in a draw.
Since the replay was never held, we
consider Għajnsielem as joint winners
with the Salesian Youths. |
