Għajnsielem F.C. won promotion to the
first division on the strength of a
great start to the campaign. The Blacks
won five matches in a row to start the
season and looked set to dominate the
second division. A 4-game winless
stretch, however, left the team in
danger of missing out not just on the
championship but also on promotion.
Għajnsielem rediscovered their form
in time and won the last three games of
the season to win promotion by virtue of
their second place. This season the
Blacks were awarded the Good Conduct Cup
for their fair play. |
