F.C. were the better side throughout the
cup final but made hard work of it in
the end. Larry Buttigieg gave the Blacks
a first half lead direct from a
free-kick. Nadur drew level before the
break and took a shock lead after the
restart. Charlon Grima then lobbed the
ball over the Nadur goalkeeper for the
equalizer. Moments later Franklee
Galea's free kick was headed towards
goal by Larry Buttigieg. The ball
ricocheted off the Nadur keeper and
Jonathan Grech and into the net. Nadur
had a player sent off for a personal
foul on Buttigieg. The Blacks
comfortably held on to their lead as
time ran out to take the cup to
Għajnsielem. |
