CUP FINAL LINE-UP

Għajnsielem F.C won the Jum il-Ħelsien Cup when they beat Xewkija Tigers on penalties. Għajnsielem took the lead late in the first half when Errol Grima headed in Joseph Buttigieg's cross from the right. Ten minutes into the second half, Joseph Attard took a headed pass on the right from Joseph Buttigieg and went past two Xewkija defenders before blasting the ball in off the underside of the crossbar. The Tigers drew level with two late goals scored by Andreas Fotso and Edmond Tchawou. Although the Blacks had Renato Conceicao sent off in extra-time, they held on and then, backstopped by Saviour Darmanin, beat the Tigers on penalty kicks.
