REVIEW

CUP FINAL LINE-UP

In front of a packed Gozo Stadium, dignitaries including Dr. Joe Mifsud, President of the Malta Football Association, and a national television audience, Għajnsielem beat Victoria Hotspurs 2-0 to reclaim the G.F.A. Cup. Marian Bucur scored both the goals in the opening session. Għajnsielem chose to control the game in the second half and did so with great facility. Victor Agius was called on to make an acrobatic top corner save midway through. Other than that, however, Hotspurs never looked like they would deny the Blacks.

Victor Agius, David Debattista (Stefan Azzopardi), Frank Buttigieg (c),
Charles Mercieca, Joseph Buttigieg, Leandro Blanco de Castro, Jeremy Camilleri, Joseph Attard II, Marian Bucur (Franklee Galea), Larry Buttigieg II, Roderick Apap.
