Weekend roundup
November 28
Frank Buttigieg's side continued with its mastery of the bottom tier teams of the Under/12 league by beating Zebbug Rovers 7-1. Ferdinand Apap scored a hat-trick, Justin Buttigieg scored two, and Robert Grima and Adrian Cordina scored one goal each. Late in the game, the team conceded the first goal of the season. But starting keeper Richard Sammut is still unbeaten because Carmel Vella was between the posts at the time of the goal. In first division play, Xewkija T. beat Xaghra U. 4-3 to go two points clear at the top of the table. Kercem A. kept in touch with the leading bunch by beating Victoria H. 2-0.

First loss in 3 years
November 26

Ghajnsielem's Primary School team dropped to their first loss in three years. They lost to Victoria's Primary School 1-2. Larry Debono scored Ghajnsielem's goal. Victoria's team, stacked with Year 7 (repeaters) players, including ex-Ghajnsielem players, proved too strong for our Year 6 team. Ghajnsielem, who beat St. Theresa 3-1 (Brandon Spiteri 2, Larry Debono) in another match this week, must overcome Nadur in their last match of the season, and hope that Victoria at least draw or lose their last match.

Blacks down
November 21

Ghajnsielem dropped to their first loss of the league season with a 1-4 to Xewkija. David Carabott scored on his debut for the Blacks, but had to be substituted before half-time due to a head wound. His goal had brought the Blacks level. Three second half goals swung the match decidedly in the Tigers' favour. Zebbug continued their good form with a 4-2 win over Nadur.

Under/12 in rampant form
November 21
Ghajnsielem's Under/12 side marched on to another lopsided win beating Oratory Youths 7-0. Ferdinand Apap, Justin Buttigieg and Gabriel Cordina scored two apiece. Brandon Spiteri scored the other goal.

Weekend roundup
November 14
Heavy weather washed out the top of the table clash between the Blacks and Xewkija Tigers. On Saturday, Zebbug Rovers continued with their revival beating Xaghra United 5-3. The Blacks' Under/12 side won by way of walk-over its match against Zebbug Rovers.

Blacks win
November 7
Ghajnsielem beat Victoria H. 2-0 to solidify their place at the top of the table. Daniel Bogdanovic made his debut for the Blacks. David Carabott, who watched from the stands, is expected to debut next Sunday against Xewkija T.

Kercem Ajax beat Nadur Youngsters 3-1 to extend the latter's winless start to the season to five matches. This is one of Nadur's worst starts to a league season. On their part Kercem kept in touch with the leading group, jumping to 3rd place in the table.

Two in a row for U/14
November 8

Ghajnsielem's Under/14 side won its second match of the season beating Sannat Lions 2-1. Andre Xuereb and Charlon Tabone scored the goals for the Blacks.
