Walk-over win for Under/12
March 28
Ghajnsielem's Under/12 side  consolidated their lead at the top of the championship pool without breaking a sweat. S.K. Victoria Wanderers did not show up for the match and the Blacks were given a walk-over win. They need a win and draw from their next 3 matches to win the title.

End of 46 year stint at the top
March 20

Nadur Y. beat Victoria H. 2-0 in the only 1st division match played this weekend. Chidi Eric Nkwankwo scored the goals that mathematically condemned Victoria H. to the 2nd division. Should Hotspurs play in Div. 2 it will be the first time since the 58/59 season that they have played in a lower division. In 1998/99 Hotspurs were actually relegated but were reinstated after a radical change in league format (back from three to the current two divisions).

Comeback kids
March 19

Ghajnsielem's Under/14 side staged a stirring comeback to beat Xaghra United 4-3 in their second championship pool match. Andre Xuereb's first half goal was overturned by Xaghra for a 1-3 score. Andre Xuereb, Ryan Grima and Shannon Vassallo brought the Blacks back for a morale boosting win.

Getting closer
March 13
Ghajnsielem's Under/12 side made a huge stride towards the championship of the category with a 5-2 win over Xewkija Tigers in their opening championship pool match. Ferdinand Apap put the Blacks two up with headers. After Xewkija reduced the arrears, Kenny Hili re-established the Blacks' two-goal advantage. Luke Meilak stretched the Blacks' lead further. Ferdinand Apap then completed his hat-trick. Near the end Xewkija scored another from the penalty spot. Joe Bajada was the referee. Nadur Youngsters kept in touch with the leaders by beating S.K. Xewkija slip
