Prize day 
June 9

Ghajnsielem F.C. held a dinner to honour the Club's individual awards winners for the 05/06 season. Joseph Buttigieg was honoured as the Club's player of the year. Loretu Scicluna, who was awarded the most dedicated player award, was presented with the number 8 shirt to mark his retirement from senior football. Saviour Darmanin was also presented with a trophy in recognition for his contributions to the Club as player and coach in this difficult season. These were the other awards:

Top scorer (Ghajnsielem player): Joseph Attard
U/14 player of the year: Kenny Hili
U/14 most dedicated player: Shaun Attard
U/14 top scorer: Gabriel Cordina
U/12 player of the year: Lornie Mizzi
U/12 most dedicated player: Brandon Spiteri
U/12 top scorer: Adrian Cordina

Annual General Meeting 
June 8

The Club's annual general meeting was held today at the Club premises. President, Raymond Grech addressed the members, secretary Alex Spiteri presented the administrative report and vice-president/treasurer Alfio Rapa presented the financial report. Mayor Francis Cauchi G.F.A. president Joe Cordina addressed the members. G.F.A. secretary Alvin Grech also attended the meeting. The out-going committee was confirmed uncontested for the 2006/07 season.

Saviour Darmanin runner-up 
June 7

The Blacks' goalkeeper (and coach) Saviour Darmanin finished second to Elton Vella in the voting for the Best Player in G.F.A. leagues at the 5th edition of the Malta Football Awards.
