Leandro Blanco de Castro scored a consolation goal for the Blacks. Ghajnsielem's Under/14 put their counterparts from Sannat to the sword in the TTL Cup when they beat them 7-0. Justin Buttigieg scored a double hat-trick. Jason Vella scored the other goal. The U/12 side beat Xewkija Tigers 2-0 (Ascanio Bajada 2) to stay in the hunt for the championship.

Camilleri thunderbolt saves Blacks
March 14

Ghajnsielem F.C. battled hard to a 3-3 draw against leaders Nadur Y. in a fascinating evening contest at the Gozo Stadium. The result prevented Nadur from opening a 4-point gap at the top of the table. Marian Bucur scored twice for Ghajnsielem and Jeremy Camilleri scored late in the match with a thunderbolt of a shot from a seemingly impossible angle.

Blacks-Youngsters clash postponed
March 11

Ghajnsielem's 3rd round league match against Nadur Youngsters was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Ghajnsielem's Under/14 side commenced their championship pool commitments with a 9-2 victory over Xaghra United. Kenny Hili scored a hat-trick for the Blacks. Robert Grima (2), Justin Buttigieg (p), J. Vella, Gabriel Cordina and an own-goal accounted for Ghajnsielem's other goals. The Under/16 side was knocked out of the Joseph Portelli Projects Cup following a 0-6 loss to Victoria Hotspurs.

United join the title hunt
March 8

Xaghra United beat Sannat Lions 2-0 to lift themselves to third place in the league table and thus preserve whatever hopes they have of winning the championship.

Unpredictable Blacks
March 4

Ghajnsielem shrugged off the disappointing loss to Qala St. J. with a gutsy, unexpected 3-1 win over 3rd place, and championship hopefuls, Kercem Ajax. The Blacks reacted brilliantly to an early setback (Jerry Ani headed Kercem into the lead), with two quick goals scored by Jeremy Camilleri and Alex Tramboo who deflected into his own goal from a Leandro Blanco de Castro free-kick. The Blacks survived Kercem's second half onslaught and scored the third in the 95th minute through Joseph Attard (picture below). In Thursday night's game, Qala continued to shock with a 1-0 win over leaders Sannat Lions. Nadur Youngsters took full advantage of this slip by beating Xewkija Tigers 2-0. Ghajnsielem's Under/12 side commenced their championship pool commitments with a narrow 3-2 win over S.K. Victoria Wanderers.
