Ghajnsielem's U/19 side lost to Xaghra United 0-2. On Thursday, Xewkija
Tigers snuffed out Kercem Ajax's flickering hopes of winning the
championship when they beat them 3-2.

Sannat Lions beat Ghajnsielem 2-1 to claim a share of first place in the
league table. Ricardo Saverino (penalty) and Sabri Rais scored for Sannat.
Leandro Blanco de Castro scored a consolation goal for the Blacks.
Ghajnsielem's Under/14 put their counterparts from Sannat to the sword in
the TTL Cup when they beat them 7-0. Justin Buttigieg scored a double
hat-trick. Jason Vella scored the other goal. The U/12 side beat Xewkija
Tigers 2-0 (Ascanio Bajada 2) to stay in the hunt for the championship.

leaders Nadur Youngsters. Ghajnsielem's Under/14 side beat Victoria
Hotspurs 3-1. Gabriel Cordina scored all the Blacks' goals. The Under/19
(made up entirely of the Club's Under/16 players) lost to an over-aged
Munxar Falcons 0-1.

to keep in touch with the leaders.

Ghajnsielem F.C. battled hard to a 3-3 draw against leaders Nadur Y. in a
fascinating evening contest at the Gozo Stadium. The result prevented
Nadur from opening a 4-point gap at the top of the table. Marian Bucur
scored twice for Ghajnsielem and Jeremy Camilleri scored late in the match
with a thunderbolt of a shot from a seemingly impossible angle.

Ghajnsielem's 3rd round league match against Nadur Youngsters was
postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. Ghajnsielem's Under/14 side
commenced their championship pool commitments with a 9-2 victory over
Xaghra United. Kenny Hili scored a hat-trick for the Blacks. Robert Grima
(2), Justin Buttigieg (p), J. Vella, Gabriel Cordina and an own-goal
accounted for Ghajnsielem's other goals. The Under/16 side was knocked out
of the Joseph Portelli Projects Cup following a 0-6 loss to Victoria
Hotspurs.

the league table and thus preserve whatever hopes they have of winning the
championship.

Ghajnsielem shrugged off the disappointing loss to Qala St. J. with a
gutsy, unexpected 3-1 win over 3rd place, and championship hopefuls,
Kercem Ajax. The Blacks reacted brilliantly to an early setback (Jerry Ani
headed Kercem into the lead), with two quick goals scored by Jeremy
Camilleri and Alex Tramboo who deflected into his own goal from a Leandro
Blanco de Castro free-kick. The Blacks survived Kercem's second half
onslaught and scored the third in the 95th minute through Joseph Attard
(picture below). In Thursday night's game, Qala continued to shock with a
1-0 win over leaders Sannat Lions. Nadur Youngsters took full advantage of
this slip by beating Xewkija Tigers 2-0. Ghajnsielem's Under/12 side
commenced their championship pool commitments with a narrow 3-2 win over
S.K. Victoria Wanderers.

play with a match against Qala St. J. later on today. The third round
fixtures have been reshuffled based on the teams' position in the league
table at the end of two rounds of play. The fixture sequence
