anonymous so far, gets
an earful after getting
dispossessed near the
edge of Sannat's penalty
area. To be fair Sannat
seems the more likely
side to score as this
stage of the match.
Portelli's cross is too
far for Petriaggi and
Parnis gathers easily.
Cordina is off as
Charlon Grima trots on.
Petriaggi dribbles clear
of the Sannat defence,
goes round the keeper
but Parnis comes back to
save the Lions. Chid
Eric tears away and
should have scored for
the Lions. The game is

We are under way.
Neither side has made
any changes. Simoncic's
short corner, he
exchanged with Attard,
was met by Cordina but
the latter's attempt was
blocked to a corner.
Diego Petriaggi broke
away and shot wide. This
is an ominous
development for the
Blacks. Mark Formosa
than handles in the
penalty area and
Azzopardi awards the
penalty. Parnis to the
right, Petriaggi's shot
to the left and the
Blacks have drawn level
in the third minute of
the 2nd half. |

The Blacks have played
reasonably well this
first half. They were
stunned by the power and
accuracy of Diego
Petriaggi's shot.
Għajnsielem tried their
luck with several
attempts but on each
occasion they failed to
match the quality and
precision of Petriaggi's
strike. The Blacks need
to produce something
better than they have so
far if they want to move
off the bottom of the
table. For their part,
Sannat would breathe
more easily if they
manage to take all three
points and create some
distance between them
and the occupants of the
lowest rungs of the
league table. |

urgency has returned in
the play of some of the
Blacks and this has
caused Sannat some
problems. Meanwhile
Diego Petriaggi breaks
away and the Blacks must
be thankful for Robert
Grima's backtracking.

limping from the clash
but he seems good to go. |

too slow and this is
giving Sannat's defence
time to adjust and close
down the spaces for the
Blacks' forwards. The
Blacks' hopes right now
must rest on dead ball
situations and maybe on
some magic from
Petriaggi. Right on cue
Petriaggi latches on to
a through pass and
forces Parnis into a
good near post stop.
Then a minute later
Petriaggi tries again
from the other side,
Parnis again makes the
save. |

tendency to defend and
play on the break. And
that is what they are
doing today. The Blacks
have had more of the
ball but it is Sannat
who have the lead.
