Għajnsielem F.C. should have won their match of the season, instead they had to settle for a 3-3 draw against S.K. Victoria Wanderers. The Blacks were in control of the match for most of the first half and deserved their narrow half-time lead. Then they conceded two quick goals inside the first five minutes of the second half. Both goals were totally avoidable, the Blacks defenders too ponderous with the ball bouncing around their penalty area. The Blacks bounced right back with two quick goals of their, goals that in turn exposed some issues in the Wanderers' rearguard. The Blacks found themselves at a numerical advantage when Joseph Refalo was sent off after being shown two yellow cards. Not for the first time this season, complacency overcame the Blacks and Għajnsielem managed to find a way to throw away this match.

Charlon Tabone opened the scoring when he headed in from an Alex Simoncic free-kick. This goal came after an astonishing miss by Roberto R. Petriaggi who tried to go round the Wanderers' goalkeeper Frankly Vella, but the latter snatched the ball from the Brazilian's feet. Alex Simoncic struck the post with a near post header from a Jason Portelli corner-kick.

In the second half, amnesia took over and Agibade Adesina and ex-Blacks player Kenneth Mercieca scored in quick succession to give Victoria the lead. From the re-start following the second goal, Petriaggi levelled matters when he rounded Vella for an immediate equalizer. Manwel Cordina then set up Petriaggi for the Blacks' third goal. Refalo was sent off and the Blacks thought that the points were in the bag. Petriaggi blasted high following great work by Simoncic. Then poor defending gifted Victoria an insidious free-kick. The ball was cleared short and Chris Sciortino broke Blacks hearts with a thunderous drive that gave Grech no chance. Għajnsielem tried to regain the lead but in doing so they risked in a big way and the last shot of the match was a Sciortino low shot that beat Grech but went past Għajnsielem's right post.
