Jules
Ngangue joined the Club as a player early in the 2000/01 season. After a
good start he received a lengthy suspension and had to sit
out the second part of the season. The following season he
returned as a player and after three matches was handed the job of player-coach
following the resignation of then coach, Teddy Bajada. He had the distinction of leading the team to first place
with a four point lead, on the back of a draw and four straight wins.
After the team opened the second round with a loss to lowly Oratory
Youths, the Club relieved him of his coaching duties (although he kept
training the team) and handed the job to Peter
Caruana. He moved on to Qala St. Joseph where he continued his
playing career the following season.
