N'dayi Kalenga is a striker
from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He started his
senior career with Scom Mikishi in the DRC playing on the
right wing and in midfield. He also played for Mbongo
Sport before taking his career abroad. He then played in
the Turkish league with Kayseri Sport and Karabuk Sport.
He played in South Korea for one season, then returned to
Europe to play in Cyprus for Kaymakli Sport. It was here
that he started playing on attack. He moved on to the
Polish side Pogon Sczecin and then went back to Turkey
where he spent six months playing for Goztepe.
Kalenga marked his debut
for the Club by scoring from the penalty spot in a league
match against Kercem Ajax. Although Kalenga's strike rate
is good, his contribution to the Club can better be
appreciated by looking at his work ethic, often taking
possession in his own half and doing the transition work
on his own. His speed and quickness make him elusive and
has given problems to his markers throughout his time with
the Blacks.
