That Nadur Youngsters would go on to win the title after pulling ahead of the Blacks in February was expected, but that the Blacks would not push them all the way was not and made up for a disappointing month of April. The Blacks' potent attack turned anaemic this month and as a result the Blacks succumbed to Zebbug Rovers and Victoria Hotspurs in the league.

Nadur Youngsters were officially crowned champions for the seventh time, Xaghra United and Qala St. Joseph were officially relegated. Sannat Lions beat Gharb Rangers to claim the second division title. Gharb Rangers' consolation was promotion to the first division as runners-up.

After being held from scoring for three consecutive matches, the Blacks broke out with a vengeance in their quarter-final tie with Gharb. The ten nothing score-line against an Gharb team already in beach mode set a new Club mark for margin of victory. Joseph Attard I was amongst the scorers. The long-serving defender's goal was his first for the Club and came in his 163rd senior appearance. Joe Debono, another scorer, became the oldest player on record to score for the Club.
