The St Joseph Band of Ghajnsielem was founded in 1928 by Monsignor Guzeppi De Piro. The statute of the club clearly identifies four main core values namely:

1)     Teaching of Instrumental Music;
2)     Honour for the village of Ghajnsielem
3)     The organisation and provision of cultural activities;
4)     Provide an atmosphere where its members can recreate themselves.

St Joseph Band is proud to have a record of over 50 bandsman and 20 students (Alljievi) - all of which hail from Ghajnsielem. The band's imposing premises is located in the heart of the village, the ‘Our Lady of Loreto’ square. Its club is a hub of cultural and social activities, which organizes exhibitions, social evenings as well as catering for the entertainment of the community through several activities.
